Visitors! This wiki is no longer active but I like to keep it as an example of how wikis can be used for real communication and language practice for learners.

Dear students!

Please don't change this page!  Only change the other pages!

Welcome to the "Between Pacoima and Puebla" wiki for Mr. Bakin's ESL Intermediate Low class at Pacoima Skills Center, and Elba Mendez Garcia's EFL class at the Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, Mexico.

This site is for you, the students!  You will create wiki pages that will help you practice writing and reading English.  You will write and post information about three main topics:  travel destinations in the countries where you live, information about the communities you live in, and topics that you have a personal interest in like hobbies, sports, and music.

Ms. Mendez Garcia and Mr. Bakin hope that you will enjoy creating these web pages and practicing English at the same time!  Click on one of the links below to start creating your pages!

STUDENTS!!! Please add your writing on the correct page! If you're writing about Puebla, go to the "Puebla Community" page. If you're writing about yourself or your family, go to the "Personal Interests" page! If you're writing about places to visit in Mexico, go to THAT page. etc. Click on the "edit" tab for the page you want to change and then sign in and edit the page. If you create a new page for yourself, you also need to create a link to your new page so that the other students will find it and look at it.

You don't have permission to comment on this page.
